The laughing Squid Party was clearly the Geek event of June, not May.

Sure it may have started on May 31st, but it became June hours before the party was over.

If it could be Geek Event of both months, it probably would be, but since it can only be Geek Event of the Month for a single month, and because June is clearly the more prestigious of the two months…

I hope that human cloning also becomes available shortly.

I really can’t understand why anyone objects to it. A clone is no different than an identical twin, triplets, etc. and religious people don’t think that only one of a group of identicals has a soul do they? So what is the problem?

If I could raise a clone of myself as a child, I would totally do it. I know that the genetic code is a good one, based on the fact that I turned out to be so intelligent, good looking, and also extremely modest… so a clone would take away all the worry of mixing up a bad batch of DNA that one has in making a baby using legacy reproductive systems.

It would also be an excellent opportunity to prove that all of my failings are my mother’s fault by raising my clone to be a well behaved, well adjusted, productive member of society…

That is *so* cool and incredibly sweet that you might clone Wasabi. I sent this to a few of my friends who have dogs they really love that are getting rather old.

I really wish I had saved some of my dog’s hair or bio matter. She was my best friend when I was little and I would love to have a clone of her.

There is an initiative for an open power supply standard that will allow devices to “talk” to a an ac->dc converter and tell it what voltage and amperage to deliver.

If this takes off, all your power cords will eventually be interchangeable - plugging into a standardized power station or maybe even just into the wall, should the standard eventually get built into homes.
