Thank you to reader Bonita, who reminded me of a geek who I totally adored (but forgot his name): Ze Frank!
Thing is, I’m a dancer. I’m not a performer, I just am really into partner dancing & have taken classes in a fair number of dance styles in my time (partner & non). So when I first saw Ze Frank’s “How To Dance Properly” back in 2001, I basically went nuts. Sent it to all my friends. Bought a t-shirt (when he finally started to sell them). Mimicked the dance moves in jest - as they were meant to be (favorite: “Basic Twirl”). Then, given my short attention span & memory, forgot his name. My love for the absurdity of that first video never diminished, though.
Good to know he’s still out there and continues to create. It was fun to rediscover him, and to watch his talk at the TED Conference. I love that a neuroscientist can become known for his humor. Reminds me that this is so the right time to be a geek.

I love the pot of love and riding the pony
Someday I need to show you some of my dance moves. Greats such as:
* Washing and drying the dishes
* Mow the lawn
* Pick a daisy or two
* Catch and release bats
* Sprinkler (personal favorite)
Going to save the TED video for tomorrow’s viewing pleasure.
